Everything I have is because of my mum and my dad.

I was in the car with them one day and I asked my mum ‘if I bought you a robot, where would you keep it when you drove to the shops: in the boot or in the front seat?’ She said she would keep ‘him’ up front in the passenger seat next to her for company. I asked her if she’d let it do anything around the house - and she said ‘absolutely not’. She’d probably clean up after ‘him’, I thought.

This inspired me to imagine a story of a septegenerian sleuth Dot and her robot carer Chip solving neighborhood crimes. Dot gets her confidence back with Chip, and Chip learns about the world through Dot’s eyes.

I write as a hobby when I can. But if I can ever publish this book and make any money I want to buy my mum and dad a house and help them relax in their retirement.

Shorts

Sometimes on my morning commute, I like to make Chip and Dot ‘Sunday Comics’ - without a story attached, but more in the style of Peanuts and Calvin & Hobbs (which I love and read often). I’ve kept some of them below when they make me chuckle and help me understand the characters. Enjoy!
